And Now Katie is joining us too by running the Edinbrough Marathon on May 23rd for Ovacome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, we’re REALLY doing it! On 25 April 2010 we’re running 26.2 miles around London for our first Marathon!

We were novices 2 years ago and started out by running for 2 minutes and walking for one, running for 2 minutes, etc…but now we’ve notched up 3 half marathons and we’ve been enjoying the challenge of running through the recent wind, rain, snow and ice to prepare ourselves for the ‘big one’.

As if running a Marathon isn’t challenging enough we’ve set ourselves an additional challenge to raise £3,000 in sponsorship for Ovacome, a charity that is close to both our hearts.

Ovarian cancer is the second most common gynae cancer in the UK and affects thousands of women a year. Ovacome are a registered charity that provide a free to join support and information service for women affected by ovarian cancer, their families and friends.

We know it’s a tough time for everyone with the credit crunch, we’re all feeling the pinch and every donation, no matter how big or small, is hugely appreciated. Minimum sponsorship through JustGiving is just £2  - every squid counts!

It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Ovacome will receive your money faster, and (here's the best bit) if you're a UK taxpayer you can opt for your donation to include Gift Aid, and the Treasury has to cough up an extra 28p per £1 at no cost to you!
