Update! We have now purchased our chariot - a 1993 Ford Granada Ghia. High class in her day, but that was a long time ago...

From 27th to 31st May 2010 four intrepid explorers who know virtually nothing about cars will be driving from the UK to Croatia in a car which we will purchase for less than £250 and service ourselves. What could go wrong?

Oh yes, and we'll be doing it in fancy dress.

Sucata Split is a non-competitive European banger rally tour where teams of up to 4 people drive to Split in Croatia, in 4 days, in bangers costing no more than £250. This event is organised to raise money for Gemin-i.org, a charity specialising in developing innovative solutions to improve education in the developing and developed worlds.
