Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have wanted to make this journey for more than thirty years. Since I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2010, I thought that the dream was over. But this year, I will cycle around the coast of England & Wales,  stopping at every onshore lighthouse, as well as visiting every offshore lighthouse by boat.

I've just recorded a short video that explains the reasons for making this trip. Please take a look:

As well as the mainland, I'll be reliant on friendly boat owners and ferry operators to help me reach the Isle of Wight, Scilly, Lundy and The Channel Islands. The bottom line is that I need to reach wherever there is a lighthouse!

It's a journey of more than 3,500 miles, and will take me at least a hundred days.

I hope to be staying with other people with MS, and will be interviewing and blogging about the people I meet, as well as about the lighthouses I visit.
