On Thursday 7th July 2005, 52 people died in the worst terrorist attack ever to happen in London.
As well as those who were killed, there were hundreds of horrific injuries to people who will be mentally scarred and will be unable to travel on London's historic transport system (tube and buses) ever again.
There is a thriving community of "tube challengers", who regularly attempt to visit all 275 stations on the London Underground network as quickly as possible, aiming to beat the world record time, set by the organisers of this event, Geoff Marshall and Neil Blake.
This is the first time I'll have personally attempted the "tube challenge", but I'm sure it won't be the last.
This event is not about breaking records, instead it's as an act of defiance, solidarity and to raise sponsor money for the official charities for the families of the victims.
Please consider giving a donation - as little or large as you can afford - every penny (or cent or rupee) counts.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me.
London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
