Dear Friends
As you may know, our daughter Cecilia was born in August of last year. A few days after her birth she was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, which came as a great shock as nothing was picked up through antenatal screening.
It's been a steep learning curve and Down Syndrome Education International (DownsEd) has been a huge support. Lia is already enrolled in their world-class early intervention programme, which maximises the potential of children with this genetic condition. Based in Portsmouth, UK, the work it undertakes genuinely transforms the lives of thousands of young people with Down Syndrome throughout the world.
To raise much needed funding for this charity, we've decided to take part in a triathlon, which includes braving the cold waters of Dorney Lake on 23rd May, so please sponsor us!
(Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Down Syndrome Education International gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.)
