Hi, I am a YEA Trustee. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am creating it on behalf of the YEA charity. We rely completely on God's provision through His people to prayerfully and financially support this work. By donating to YEA you are investing in the work of the Kingdom of God here on earth. Investing in the Kingdom is a sure way increase the gift. Literally every penny counts and will be used in some way to nurture faith in young people.
The primary aim of YEA is to see young people discipled. By this we mean living their lives based on God's word, the Bible. We cannot personally nurture faith in many young people, but we can model the principle among those we know and teach others to do the same. We currently work with leaders and staff in a range of organisations including the Baptist Union of Uganda, The Church of Uganda, Compassion International and also work in partnership with many churches in different denominations across East Africa.
We run a campsite on the shores of Lake Victoria where training can be given by our own teams. Alternatively, it can also be hired by groups for youth based ministry.
We train and send mission teams into various regions across East Africa about 15 times a year. These cost approximately £200 per trip.
We currently run two vehicle with an average monthly servicing and running costs of £300.
Our UK missionary and other core team members based in Uganda receive just nominal expenses for living each month at a total of about £1000 between them. this covers all housing costs, food and living allowance.
Our other volunteers needYEA basic living costs covered to allow them the freedeom to join in our ministry. This costs about £75 per volunteer per month.
