Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A few years ago I discovered a wonderful blog written by a beautiful mum Jennie Edspire talking about her children and her journey in life.
As soon as I read of the name that Jennie had given her third child, I instantly fell in love with the little girl and her gorgeous name; Matilda. As soon as I fell pregnant with my third child I knew that was the name I had to have and I had my heart set.
In February, a couple of months before my daughter arrived, Matilda Mae Edspire died of SIDS at 9 months old and I haven't stopped thinking about her and her wonderful family. As a mum myself I could never imagine what Jennie has gone through.
A year ago I started to train myself to run, and this year I wanted to
raise awareness of Sudden
Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) with my determination, ability and fondness of running. I want to raise money for the foundation that
supports families affected by it and carries out research into preventing it,
SIDS, what we commonly know as cot death.
