My aim was to trek the length of the Brecon Beacons from near Trap on the Black Mountain in the west to Pencelli on the B4558 in the east - a distance of approximately 65km. The highest point of the trek is Pen-y-Fan at 886m (or 2,907ft for those who prefer it that way), and I planned to take in as many of the lower summits as possible on the way.
Well, I've done it ! I wasn't too confident that I could do the whole distance (after all, I am a pensioner) but am delighted to have achieved it - thank you all so much for your support. If everyone pays up I shall have raised over £700. I have recently returned from a month in Madagascar visiting projects on behalf of MfM and was delighted by what I saw, but there is so much that is still needed so please keep those donations coming in. A little goes a very long way in Madagascar.
