A quarter of all new cases of cancer diagnosed in men are prostate cancers. However, around 7 in 10 newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients now survive beyond five years. In the 1970s it was only 3 in 10. The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation aim to 'fund the best independent worldwide research into the causes of prostate cancer; to offer better outcomes to men diagnosed with prostate cancer and to enable all specialists to share information.'
