This wil be my 3rd Wilmslow Half Marathon and my second ro raise funds for my favorite charty Help For Heroes. As a Volunteer Group Co-Ordinator for Help For Heroes in Staffordshire, I am proud to be able to say that the charity as a whole has raised over £30 million pounds in 3 years which will go towards helping to support our injured service men and women returning from current military operations abroad.
These fantastically brave people think nothing of putting their lives at risk on a daily basis so that you and your family's and friends can continue to enjoy a safe and healthy life.
It is a tragedy and I shed a tear every time I see our deceased service personal arriving home from operations abroad. What many people dont realse is that for every one of those caskets there may be many other Guys coming back having lost limbs or who have been blinded or suffered some other terrible trauma.
