Stuart was a keen, talented and good all round sportsman who, in the prime of his life was found to have Osteosarcoma, a particularly rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Tragically after a hard fought battle this illness claimed his life on 17th April 2003 when he was aged 24.
Stuart was one of those rare people who excelled at most sports, but his preferred sport was football. It seemed that as soon as he could walk he was kicking a ball!
Stuart played for school teams before joining Swale Magpies and represented the South East of England at five-a-side-football. He played for Park Regis in the Sheppey Sunday league, Milton Reserves in the Rochester & District league and for Milton 1st Team in the Kent County league and was a valued member of each team he played for. He made lots of good friends during these years of "growing up" and enjoyed a good social life too!
This donation site has been opened in honour of Stuart and it is hoped that with the help of your donations, a brighter tomorrow for young people through sport may be achieved.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way Youth Sport Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Your support is very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Janet, Denis & Rachel
