Our cause is a really worthwhile charity called Shelter Box. ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide. As I am a walking disaster, often in need of relief, this very appropriate. Plus, given the recent disasters in Haiti and Chile, ShelterBox have carried out great work and are in desperate need of help.
This effort is being done through our fundraising foundation which we have called STICK.
STICK is a new concept that aims to raise money for charity and support others in outdoor adventure and personal challenge.
Our core values are:
Sustainability: Preserving the environment and enjoying our country
Training: Preparation and personal fitness
Independence: Self reliance and self preservation
Challenge: It's only a challenge if the result is uncertain
Knowledge: Pragmatic recklessness
Our long term goal is to create a positive social impact using challenge and adventure. Responsible epics.
