My story

Official Times
Jennifer: 2h 22m
Simon: 2h 16m

Update: 6th September 2009
We just got back - treated ourselves to a large plate of nachos. It was really really hard after 9 mile mark. We haven't got a clue what are official times are yet, the clock said 2:22 for Simon and 2:28 for Jen, but we had to wait a good number of minutes before we started.

Thank you so much to all of you who donated!

Ok, so most of you know we ran the Bristol 10K (6.1 miles) back in May. Afterward, we collapsed into our local Starbucks and vowed never to do a big run again. Ever! Since then we have run every now and again - but only 3 miles here and there to keep fit.

So last Thursday Jen was on the website of our favourite charity - one25 (http://www.one25.ltd.uk/) - and noticed that they had spaces to run the half marathon. We are not sure what happened next, but when Jen came to we were both booked on!

So we are going to do this. Hey...it'll be fine - its only
double the distance of the 10K, and we have loads and loads of time to train - eight days.

It's going to be hard. It's going to hurt (especially Simon as he runs like a penguin with no legs). But hey, we are not doing this for our enjoyment, we are doing this for one25, and all of the great work it does in our city.

So please give, or pray, or both - and we will keep you updated with how it goes!

Simon and Jen

Well Done! But really you don't have to run a half-marathon just to get to Starbucks for opening time! The car will work just as well. Donation by Dad, Mother & Hannah Banana 07/09/09
