                   The Testicle Tour © 2008/2009

"The Testicle Tour aims to raise the profile of testicular cancer by using humour. Testicular cancer is often seen as a taboo subject, however Darren and Richard want to break down this barrier by injecting a bit of fun into their fundraising events and at the same time deliver an important message. That men should carry out regular self-examinations. I fully support everything that The Testicle Tour aims to achieve."

Quote from our Official Patron, "Dr Chris Steele MBE- resident Doctor of ITV's This Morning show" and "Health Journalist of the Year 2007"

The Testicle Tour was created by best mates Darren Couchman and Richard Miller. Our aim is to raise awareness of testicular cancer in a funny, light hearted way.

Testicular cancer is often seen as an embarrassing illness because of what it affects. We want to break down this barrier using humour. Darren used lots of humour in his fight against testicular cancer and now he wants to bring this humour to the people of England. We will literally be "talking balls around England."

On the 21st June 2008, The Testicle Tour boys set out on a 2 week journey around England. We visited places whose name has reference to the male genitalia. Places like Bell End, Cocking, Willey, Ball, Knutsford, Penistone and many more. After 4,000+ miles we ended up in London on Trafalgar Square where Darren sat in a bath of nuts to promote the message "the best place to check your nuts is in the bath."

We raised over £5,000 in 2008 for the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign and we continue to raise funds by doing talks to colleges, clubs and organisations. We also have various fundraising activities planned, in particular look out for The Testicle Tour's big wacky event in London on the 11th July 2009. This involves a large group of people, some survivors like Darren, walking around London each armed with a large fluffy testicle (see photo ). We aim to have raised £10,000 by the end of 2009. There will be testicular cancer survivors from all over England and even one from the United States to make this a truly international event. We will be visiting major London landmarks, where the whole group and fluffy testicles will have their photo taken. Also during the walk, one of the survivors Ezra Williams (a talented classical singer and musician) will be performing his own rendition of Nessun Dorma to include testicular cancer references. The official patron of the Testicle Tour, Dr Chris Steele MBE, is also aiming to attend.

Visit www.onelumportwo.org.uk and click on news and videos to see what we've been up to and also what we have planned. Also check out our Tour Diary and have a look at all the places we visited around England.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Institute of Cancer Research & Everyman will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now and ensure the Institute of Cancer Research and Everyman can continue with all their good work and remember if it's £5 or more you can claim your FREE MP3 of "Check Your Nuts" with special thanks to Jinx Titanic for providing us with the rights to make this offer.

Many thanks for your support and we hope to bump into you when we are talking balls all around England.
You won't miss us. We'll be the ones carrying a life-like pair of testicles for you to feel!!
