Charity Cricket Match in aid of the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign

The Village Cricketer's English All Stars v Cricket with Balls Aussie Code of Conduct XI

Monday 29th June 2009, 3pm start

Barnes Cricket Club, Lonsdale Road, London SW13 9QL

On Monday 29th June 2009, the great and good of the English and Australian cricket worlds will gather at Barnes CC, London, for a charity cricket match held to raise awareness of and funds for the Everyman male cancer campaign, part of the Institute of Cancer Research.

In the white corner - representing England, St George and warm beer - is The Village Cricketer's English All Stars, a team of hugely talented, exciting and above all modest Englishmen, assembled by influential cricket blog http://thevillagecricketer.com. In the other white corner - representing Australia - is the Cricket with Balls Aussie Code of Conduct XI, a team descended from convicts and colonists, brought together by Jrod, Big Cheese of the Cricket with Balls blog http://cricketwithballs.com.

We've set the bar high in terms of the amount we want to raise, if we get anywhere near we'll be delighted. Give what you can! Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor the event: The Institute of Cancer Research & Everyman gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
