My story

This unique event is the brain child of Ken Hames, former SAS member and presenter of The Beyond Boundaries TV series.

Each team of 6 will be led by a wheelchair user in a specially adapted chair and will attempt to climb Ben Nevis by working together so that all members get to the summit. This will involve a great deal of stamina, determination and above all team work.

The purpose of the event is to:
Raise vital funds for the work of Capability Scotland and Scope.
Raise awareness of disabilities and most importantly, abilities.
Develop and hone invaluable teamwork skills.
Take part in the challenge of a lifetime.
Each team has to raise £10k for the two worthwhile causes, therefore please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Scope and Capability Scotland will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support

Capability Scotland

Charity Registration No. SC011330

Capability works with disabled people of all ages and their families and carers throughout Scotland. We provide a range of modern, flexible services to disabled people across Scotland in areas including employment, education, accommodation, respite and independent living. We are also a campaigning organisation, committed to using the influence we have to ensure disabled people achieve the same human and civil rights as the rest of society. Our campaigning ensures that the issues that matter to disabled people stay on the Government's agenda. Our vision is to be a major ally in supporting disabled people to achieve full equality and to have choice and control of their lives.
