African Revival have a vision of Africa where children have access to education, opportunity and choice. They believe in the power of education to change lives. By building schools, training teachers and overcoming barriers to education, they aim to break that cycle of poverty and offer inspiration and opportunity to Africa's future generations. In 5 years, they have directly helped 250,000 people.
As writers, I believe we have a duty to support literacy and education worldwide, but particularly in the developing world, where education and literacy will be key to building a better future for all. So many writers suffer angst about literary success, yet in truth we are privileged to have an education and to be able to write at all. Here is our opportunity to recognise this.
This charity is based close to my own home, enabling me to develop a personal relationship with the charity director and fundraising team. I aim to give our community regular updates of how your donations are helping in Africa.
