Mummy and Daddy say that I am too little to take part in a charity parachute jump yet so I am entering one of my favourite teddy bears into the Teddy Bear Parachute Jump at Salisbury Cathedral! The event takes place on Saturday 18th April between 2pm and 4pm. Each teddy bear will have their own parachute and the fire brigade will be there to help launch the teddies.
Every penny raised on the day (by my very brave teddy bear!) will benefit the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal Caring 4 Kids Campaign. The Caring 4 Kids campaign aims to raise £1 million to help fund a highly advanced new Children's Centre at Salisbury District Hospital, which is due to open in 2010. Caring 4 Kids plans to fund a range of additional facilities and equipment, like play areas and parents’ accommodation in the new Children’s Centre. The centre will benefit thousands of children from across Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
Salisbury District Hospital does lots of fantastic work and Mummy and Daddy say that they are forever grateful to the wonderful doctors and nurses who saved my life when I suddenly became poorly as a new baby.
