My story

Thomas Cammack Snow Challenge is to Ski & Board the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats down the indoor slope in the SnoZone at Xscape in Castleford.

We have a very sick 3 year old local boy Thomas Cammack from Selby who needs life saving treatment for cancer in New York and Minster FM is helping with raising the £500,000 to help him get the treatment

Tuesday 27th March from 9am - 10pm

We want to help raise money by using The SNOZONE at Xscape to ski and board the same distance from Lands End to John O'Groats as the crow flys which is 605 miles. I understand slope is 175 meters long so 20 to 25 people will have to go up and down the slope more than 5500 times in total over the 12 hours it is open. This will be a really hard challenge and at the same time raise money for the charity. We have the go ahead from the Minster FM to present a radio show live from Xscape 10am - 2pm on the day. The Minster FM street team will be in the mall with a small PA system and banners etc helping raise money for Thomas's appeal. All the skiers and boarders will be collecting money individually through sponsorship and we would be collecting with buckets in the mall as well.
