We (Thomas, Hannah and Ewan) have organised this event mainly by ourselves with support from some staff and parents of Le Cateau Community Primary School. The idea came from Ewan reading 'My Daddy is a Soldier' and 'My mummy is a Soldier'. After reading the books he happened to spot the Afghan Appeal Fund Logo on the inside cover. We researched the website and thought it would be a fitting charity to raise funds for (by organising a 22 mile Cycle from Catterick to Masham). We felt it would also be a good cause, due to the deployments of a large number of parents to Afghanistan within Catterick Garrison.
