My story

 

Hello,

For some reason, when James asked me three weeks ago whether or not I would like to participate in a 750m swim, 5k run, and 20k bike Triatholon on what would normally be a fine Sunday summers morning, I agreed. What can I say? I was probably thinking I had been a bit lazy that day. Or I was inebriated.     

Since than, I have discovered it starts in the icy cold waters off the south coast of England, I will not be able to actually get hold of a racing bike for training until the day and (here's the icing on the slightly moulding cake) it starts at 6:30am.

Yes. "Regret" is one word that may well have sprung up in my mind since agreeing. But so has the word "opportunity" - in this case, not only the opportunity to seriously f*&k myself up, but raise money for a very wothwhile cause - one that is close to those close to me. (Meg is a very good friend of Lottie)

Those who know me will most likely be glad to sponsor me just for getting out of bed by this time.  Any amount will be hugely be appreciated by myself, James and all the people at Brainstrust.
