Why your donation matters

In an ideal world, disabled children should have the choice to play in the same places as their friends. Thomley is however the only fully accessible facility of its kind within a 35 mile radius and over 1,000 children travel from 16 different counties, just to reach somewhere they can join in.

We need your help to ensure that disabled children and their families continue to enjoy the wide range of inclusive activities we offer at Thomley.

With your help we will also strive to widen the play opportunities available to disabled children. Through outreach work, we aim to influence and support other organisations to consider and cater for the needs of children with differing abilities.

Donate now - bring confidence, health and social skills to a disabled child today!

Case study: donations in action

“I don’t know of any other place where I can take the whole family with complete confidence that it will be a good day for everyone.” (parent)

“I have a fun time and it is very safe for my autistic brother.” (child)

Our Goals:

  • To increase self esteem, health, confidence, social and physical skills of disabled children, their siblings and friends through accessible play, recreation and informal education.

  • To provide parents and carers with opportunities to meet others who have disabled children, to lessen their isolation & to increase their ability to support their children through play, recreation and access to information.

  • To raise awareness amongst the community, to encourage understanding and acceptance of disability issues, and to increase ability to include disabled children within their own community activities.
