Firstly, why were doing The 3 peaks Challenge. In October 2010 one our close friends mother was diagnosed with a large brain tumour. The tumour has been operated on and now Vanda is on High Dependency at the Royal Stoke Infirmary, Ward 23. The reason for raising this money is to give support for the nurses, surgeons and staff who have been involved with the life saving care of Vanda and to help them further their research in this area.
Vanda's family, friends and relatives have witnessed the countless hours spent looking after Vanda to help improve her recovery. Although still unconscious the progression she is making is beyond the expectations of the family. They are forever grateful for Ward 23's efforts and believe that they don't always get the recognition they truly deserve.
