THE THREE NATIONAL PEAKS CHALLENGE

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 19th and 20th, the eight of us will be attempting to scale the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in a (literally) blistering 24 hour time limit.  Ben Nevis; Scotland, Scafell Pike; Lake District, and Mt Snowdon; North Wales total nearly 12,000feet of ascent and descent over 26 miles, including nearly 500 miles of driving inbetween: an amazing test of endurance and stamina.

SIR BOBBY

All team members agree, there is no better way to keep ourselves motivated and determined than to do it in the great name of Sir Bobby Robson and the Foundation that bears his name.  Nearly 20 years ago to the day of our challenge Sir Bobby was etched on all our memories forever.  Italia 90 was for our generation the first foray into the ecstasy and heartbreak of football, and the names and faces of that era were engraved in all our hearts; Gazza, Linekar, Psycho, Bantams legends Waddle, but none more so than the man in the grey-blue suit, hands in pockets, dignified and resolute as ever, Sir Bobby Robson.

During the last 18 months of his life, and after retiring from football management, Sir Bobby Robson worked hard towards a new goal - fighting cancer through his charity.

The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation focuses on the early detection and treatment of cancer and the clinical trials of new drugs that will eventually beat it.

Now supported by his widow Lady Elsie, sons Paul, Andrew and Mark and patrons including Alan Shearer (Blackburn and England legend), the Foundation is continuing its important work in Sir Bobby’s name.

Please do what you can to support us, and in doing so the ongoing work of Sir Bobby’s Foundation by making a donation.

More information on the work of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is available here
www.sirbobbyrobsonfoundation.org.uk and you can also follow the charity on Twitter www.twitter.com/SBRFoundation

Please note we have received prior permission to use Sir Bobby's name and that of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in our fundraising event.  This allows the charity to monitor fundraising activities held in its name and provides assurance to the general public that the project is legitimate.
