Thunder Run · 19 July 2008

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Hi

This may seem madness and probably is but I've decided to combine two of the things I like to do while raising money for some good causes.

Firstly I love music and especially that of the band Thunder ,(www.thunderonline.com)  and secondly running aimlessly along for miles on end.

Thunder kick off their UK tour in Exeter on November the 21st 2008 and finish on the 30th November at the London Astoria. I will start the run the day after the first concert on the 22nd, arriving in London for the final gig on the 30th: approximately 200 miles  or nearly 8 marathons in 8 days!

I thought it would be complete madness so am walking jogging and crawling this distance stopping off at various towns on the way and decided I wanted to raise as much as possible for the following charities:

1) MS as I have  done in the past and as seen on this page

2) Breakthrough (www.breakthrough.org.uk) the UK breast cancer charity

3) Oasis (www.oasischildcare.demon.co.uk) working with vulnerable children

4) WCIT working to raise money for a new academy  in Hammersmith(www.wcit.org.uk)

Donating is easy and we can get even more if you choose the Gift Aid Option

Please dig deep and tell as many people as you know

Thanks
Dom
