Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
hello there, my name is Tigger, I am a 10 1/2 year old staffie cross labrador, I really enjoy walkies with my dad and chasing balls and sticks. My favourite pass-time though is splashing in muddy puddles and getting filthy, much to my dad's annoyance. I used to suffer from arthritis quite badly and found it a struggle to walk at times but my dad took me to the vets and now I have special pills and glucosamine tablets which ease the pain and allow me to run much more.
Life wasn't always this good though, when I was a puppy I lived in a flat with my brother, we never went out for walks and was beaten often. I was only 4 1/2 months old. Then one day a lovely lady called Jaonna Mason who runs Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue found me. I was safe, but also very lonely as I had to be kept in kennels. After a week I was introduced to my dad, He was big, and being a man I was scared of him because of the beatings I'd had in my last home. Dad took me home with him. This was my 3rd home in my young life and was very scary. I cried a lot and missed my brother. Dad was very understanding and cuddled me all the time. After a while I calmed down and got used to my new home. I never saw my brother again. Despite my rough start in life I have grown up to be a happy dog who enjoys life to the full. I consider myself to be very lucky, my dad has helped to rescue other dogs who had a much worse start in life. Joanna and her team do a fantastic job for a much mis-understood breed. please help me raise money for Joanna and her team of volunteers.
I am also walking for wadars, they are a local charity to where we live and do huge amounts of work for animals. they don't just look after pets and domestic animals but also take care of wildlife. they are a superb bunch of people doing fantastic work for animals and struggle to find funds with which to continue their work.
Dad and I are going to walk the entire length of hadrians wall which is 80 miles. the wall runs from newcastle in the north east to the solway firth in the north west. it was built by the romans to keep the picts out of roman England. the walk we will be doing follows the wall as closely as possible. Dad says it should take about a week but I think I could do it in a couple of days but dad is old and slow so i'll have to wait for him. please, please, please, help me raise some money for these charities, they do fantastic work for animals that are often forgotten by other charities. thank you all, lots of licks. Tigger.
