On 26th April I will be running the London Marathon for FairHavens Hospices in my native Southend. It's the first time I've run 26 miles and not something I plan to make a career of! This weekend I did a half marathon in Tunbridge Wells - the thought of doubling the distance is not pleasant!
Most importantly, FairHavens is an amazing charity, providing care and support for the terminally ill and their families. They run an in-patient unit, care at home and the 'Little Havens' Children's hospice. Over 72% of their funding comes from voluntary donations and they need £2.1m per year to fund their vital activities.
Your support will help me hugely with the hard miles of training. Also if anyone is available to shout, throw bananas or sponges on the day, that would be fantastic.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Fair Havens Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks for all your support!
