Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. As you may be aware we have had a long association with The Chestnut Tree Children's Hospice. The hospice provides a place for children with life limiting illnesses to make the most of their situation; they work with families to help children experience all they can and provide the care and attention that they need during this difficult time. Aside from this they provide counselling for siblings and parents to help the family unit survive this traumatic time and remain strong in their own relationships.
They also allow families to "take a break" by offering respite care so that parents can take some time out for each other or allow them to focus on their other children. At the end they can offer the whole family counselling, care and compassion so they can come to terms with their grief. They can also provide support to families who suddenly and unexpectedly lose a child.
