My story

Im running the 2009 London Marathon with the aim of raising £10000.00 in aid of the Brain Research Trust.

The reason that I am attempting to do this is because my brother died suddenly and unexpectedly in August 2007 at only 47 years of age. He was a relatively young man who's life was cut tragically short within 4 days of diagnosis.I know that there are lots of families out there that have lost loved ones in similar circumstances.

The Brain Research Trust is an organisation that aims to find preventative cures and treatment for these kinds of neurological conditions and ailments and if by me running 26.2 miles will help any one individual in the future, in anyway then it will have been worth it.

Any donation will be hugely appreciated and could help directly save a life/lives or ease somebodys suffering.

Update!!!!! Running target achieved, Sponsorship target over-achieved!!!

I completed the Flora London Marathon on 26th April 2009 in 5hrs. It was a great day and the support, sponsorship and messages of goodwill were much appreciated.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE that contributed towards this cause, the Brain Research Trust.

A grand total of £7,146.13 was raised through this page alone and a huge thank you to everybody that helped.

A further 5,320 EURO was raised in Ireland, namely Rockchapel, Co.Cork and surrounding areas.

So in summary Sterling £7146.13/Euro 5320.00

I would like to re-iterate my thanks to EVERYONE that helped, I could start naming names individually but I received so much support that I would run out of room or even worse, forget somebody.

EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTED ME, KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND A FINAL THANK YOU ONCE MORE.
