London to Paris Cycle Challenge · 4 February 2009

KIDS works with disabled children, young people and their families. KIDS works with any disabled child or young person (from 0-25), irrespective of their impairment or condition, helping them to grow, develop and enjoy their childhood, whilst supporting their families to enable this to happen.

Story

The dates for this event have now changed. I shall now be doing the ride from 9th to 12th September.  More time to raise sponsorship!!!

After completing the London Marathon last year, and having wrecked my ankles and knees in the process, I have been looking for the next big challenge to complete before I turn 60. Cycling 290 miles from London to Paris in 4 days seems to fit the bill. Looking at the map, it should all be downhill!

I shall be going through the same rigorous training programme that I undertook for the Marathon, i.e sticking to very good claret.

This year, I am trying to raise funds for KIDS, a very worthwhile Charity,  to help in equipping playground facilities for disabled children. Please help me in raising as much as possible.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: KIDS gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
