In a moment of madness I have signed up to run the New York marathon this year.  I'll be running for Macmillan Cancer Support, which is a charity supporting people living with cancer and their families and carers, and is an organisation very close to my family's heart.  My brother was running too, but a combination of old age and injury has forced him out, so I'll be going it alone (gulp!).

Just Giving forwards donations directly to Macmillan Cancer Support and automatically reclaims Gift Aid for UK taxpayers, so it helps maximise the amount Macmillan receives.
