PACE is a charity which supports the needs of children who have cerebral palsy and, crucially, provides support for families affected by this condition.  Earlier this year this subject received press coverage when David Cameron's son sadly died from this condition http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/7909562.stm

This opportunity to raise money for PACE has special significance for me because it affects the family of a close friend of mine.  His family receive much needed support from PACE and therefore this marathon presents a great opportunity to raise some much needed funds to support this worthy charity
