My story

Dear Friends,

My Dad who died of Cancer in 1991 was a Senior Army Officer and Motorcycle Nut!! His last few months were made so much better at Hospice and I would love to help them in any way I can.

The Isle of Man TT Motorcycle Course is the most difficult, fastest and longest course in the world, to an old racer like me, this race is our Everest, close to 150mph for 150 miles over 4 x 37 mile laps. It has taken me 22 separate races from Brands Hatch to Cadwell Park and many others even to qualify, and now I've done that, I can now enter the famous Manx Grand Prix in August 2008.

I'm doing this in memory of my father Major Norman Shaw, posted for many years both at Blandford at the Royal Signals and 22 SAS in Hereford, where he taught me how to ride a bike.

As Operations Director of Dometic Waeco in Broadmayne, I'm no youngester and this race will really knacker me! So I need maximum support for Weldmar please, it'll make me ride faster!!  Thank you very very much.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Weldmar Hospicecare Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Well done ! Really proud of you and so would Dad be. Donation by Shirley 07/09/08
