It all started in June 2008. David & I were invited to the Destination Florida Summer Ball held at Mere Golf & Country Club. I can honestly say it was the best event I have ever attended. Great table, great food, great entertainment (how can you top a personal appearance by Beverley Knight) and all for such a great cause.

The most important part of the evening was the video footage showing the previous trip to Florida and all the hard work that goes into organising such an event. Nobody could fail to be moved and I was only too willing to volunteer to raise £2000 for such a worthwhile cause.

I intend to do this in several ways. £400 has been raised from the sale of various items of nursery furniture. A night at Belle Vue Dogs on 9th May raised a fantastic £150. Thanks to all those that attended and donated so generously. Along with two friends, Steve & Ally, I completed the 'Krypton Factor' assault course on 20th June 2009 in an amazing time of just under 7 minutes!!
