The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. An average of 21 people are rescued every day from the water, in situations which are often difficult and sometimes dangerous. The RNLI is independent from Government, relying on donations for its income, so can only continue thanks to people like you. The RNLI is a charity registered in England and Wales (209603) and Scotland (SCO37736). Charity number CHY 2678 in the Republic of Ireland.

My story

Over the next 6 months, TractionKiting.co.uk is doing lots of fund raising for the RNLI.
In June, TK will announce the total raised for the RNLI at their wind festival, Just Add Wind, held at Balado, Kinross on the 14th and 15th June.

Owain will be running the Edinburgh 1/2 and Full Marathons, abseiling the Forth Rail Bridge and taking part in a number of other activities.

Update: Owain ran the 1/2 Marathon in 2 hours 4minutes and 46 seconds!

During the weekends Owain and Judith (Founders of TractionKiting.co.uk) can be found kiting on Scotland's beaches and they never know when they may need to call on the RNLI, whether its while Kite surfing or teaching traction kiting.

This is a fantastic charity so please dig deep and help TK raise their target of £1000.
