I'll be trekking in the Sahara to raise funds for RP Fighting Blindness. No doubt it will be hot and grubby....and that's just the flight!

I've taken the liberty of copying the info for medical clearance which describes the trek as "lasting 8 days,during which time he will be subject to basic camping and living conditions. Physical activity will involve trekking for approxiamately 8  hours per day over rough and often mountainous terrain. The trek will also involve extremes of temperature, climate and altitude (over 2500m). Participants will only have access to basic facilities, such as long drop (outdoor) toilets and primitive washing facilities. They will be living under canvas. Food will be cooked over open fires and/or gas burners." Sounds fun!!
