Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

Jesuit Missions is the international development and mission office of the Jesuits in Britain. For over 50 years it has supported vulnerable communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Story

As you will probably know, on the 25th April 2010, me and my lanky legs and knobly knees will take to the streets of London to run the Virgin London Marathon in support of Jesuit Missions!

Jesuit Missions supports projects in many different countries accross the globe, most notably in Guyana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Through your support young children, men and women can be provided with a better education and many families can be provided with the support and necessities they need to get through each day. Even the smallest of donations can make a huge difference and improve someones life.

Textbooks for 1 child cost £63 per school year. Once there bought year after year of school children can learn from them.

£1,000 a year to buy 10 sets of uniforms for children to attend school.

It takes £1,000 to buy 13 matresses and blankets for the elderly in Kenya

Please do give as generously as you are able to do so and tell all your families and friends to do the same!

Your support is greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,

Tom
