Muscular dystrophies are a collection of genetic muscle wasting conditions, some of which can be fatal in children. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the leading registered UK charity working to combat these conditions by pioneering the search for treatments and cures. The charity also provides support and information regarding expert medical care.

Hello

I am at it again.

Having successfully completed my three week running challenge in October 2007, which thanks to many of you raised over £12,000, I have now decided to take on the London Marathon.

Last time I was primarily raising funds for 'Unique' - The Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group, which I became involved with due to my daughter's condition.

As you can see, the official charity this time is the 'Muscular Dystrophy Campaign', which through its research can make a real difference to people's lives.

I intend to match any money raised via this website and make a personal donation to 'Unique', effectively leveraging any contribution you make and ensuring that both these deserving charities benefit equally.
