I visited the teenage cancer ward in the RVI Newcastle just before Christmas and was inspired to do something for charity by the strength and positivity shown by the boys and girls we met that afternoon. It put loads of things in perspective for me and has made me determined to help in any way i can. Just for Kids seemed the ideal charity to donate to as every penny of the money raised goes directly to kids in the North East and is not lost in other areas. Having lived in the region for ten years, I now consider myself to be an adopted Geordie, and if i can do something positive to help local children then it will fulfil my desire to get involved properly in raising funds for an excellent charity.
