Dear All,

After working hard for the past few years selling great value, don’t lean back, recycled, stackable, easy to clean, plastic school chairs - which look great in any classroom, it was time to take a well earned break and take a week away relaxing.

It was, therefore, a coincidence that my new best mate, Lawrence Dallaglio, was cycling from Rome to Edinburgh and was looking for some colleagues to help him out.  This seemed to be the kind of holiday I was looking for.  Lawrence, is cycling 2800km and is following the 6 nation’s venues and aims to raise £1,000,000 for sports relief.  I, of course, would have liked to have joined him for the whole ride, but time is against me, so I will be acting as a wingman/motivational aid for him for stage two which is from Nice to Paris – covering 651kms in 5 days.  In other words – a bloody long way on a bike.  My leg is from 17-22 Feb, NEXT MONTH!   www.dallagliocycleslam.com

If a slightly overweight transvestite comedian can run 43 marathons in 51 days, I thought I’d give it a go.

My personal target is to raise £3000 pounds over the next four weeks, which I am sure is achievable if we all club together….not hit lots of seals over their heads, but I am sure you know what I mean.

In the words of Sir Bob Geldof, ‘Give us your fxxking money’ – in the words of a well brought-up young…ish man from South-East London, ‘Please please give me some of your money to assist in my efforts’.  Yes, it is an opportunity, experience and challenge but I am also very nervous and excited about the venture.  However, far more importantly Sport Relief is a great charity and as with all these things every little helps.  For the charities that Sport Relief supports please visit www.dallagliocycleslam.com or www.comicrelief.com.

MANY MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE

Tom
