Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Wisdom Hospice, in High Bank, Rochester, was opened in 1984 and was named after Molly Wisdom who had raised money for the building of a Hospice in Medway, even though she herself was dying of cancer.
Today, the Hospice provides palliative and end of life care for patients with life-limiting illness in Medway and Swale, whilst offering support, counselling and advice to family members.
My grandad was cared for at home by the nurses from the Hospice in the last few weeks of his life and they gave him fantastic care and showed compassion.
Also I know that they have looked after many family friends and relatives over the years. At the Hospice they show sensitivity and sympathy to the visiting family and friends yet ensuring the best care and dignity for the the patients whether at the Hospice or at home.
