“The best week of my life” – that’s how many of those fortunate enough to have taken part described the Walk4Matt 2009.
Walk4Matt May 22nd - 29th May 2010 - walk4matt.org
The Walk4Matt is a 110 mile walk along the Grand Union Canal towpath from Rugby to Twickenham. We are raising money for 3 great causes, The Rugby Players Association (RPA), The Matt Hamspson Trust and SpecialEffects of which Matt Hampson is the patron. The walk is supported by 12 narrow boats, one representing each of the 12 Premiership Clubs, each boat is crewed with 2 skippers and 1 lockhand.
This year I'm Skipper of the Worcester boat and with your help I would like to reach my target of £500.
When a legend like Dusty Hare concludes that it was one of the happiest experiences in his entire career, you know that it was something special. The camaraderie and goodwill is tangible, right from the start, and helped by the numerous watering stops at the many taverns which line the towpaths of the Grand Union Canal. The pre-selected pubs along the route are doing us proud, with activities ranging from Morris dancing to Quiz Nights and BBQ's.
If you would like to spend a day walking or longer, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Many thanks in advance!!! - Don't forget to Gift Aid
