Named after a hardy Alpine animal, La Marmotte is the cycle ride to be reckoned with. And it’s a way for Breast Cancer Haven to raise some much-needed funds.
Over 5,000 Lycra-clad cyclists will head to the base of Alpe D’Huez, France, on 4 July. They will turn the pedals over 50,000 times to climb half the height of Everest and travel 110 miles, arriving at The Alpe around eight hours later. And we will be joining them!
We are a crew of ten cyclists from the UK called The Mad Marmotters, sponsored by Giftex Prepay, and we will be raising money for Breast Cancer Haven.
