My story

Tony Pulis is swapping his tracksuit for his running gear to take part in the London Marathon in aid of the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.

Pulis, will run the famous 26 miles and 385 yards around the capital on Sunday, April 26 – just one day after Stoke’s Premier League clash at nearby Fulham.

“I’m keeping pretty fit and running about five or six miles in one go at the moment anyway, but I’ll have to build that up to around 13 to 14 miles by the time of the race.

“I just hope we’ve had a good result at Fulham the day before, then I’ll be floating aroundLondonwhen I get my running shoes on.”

“I’m just so happy I can do something for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice,” he said, because of their terrific work and because they can’t afford to be open all the time at the moment. It is a real privilege whenever I go there and it certainly brings you down to earth. You only have to walk a mile down the road from the football club to leave behind the affluence of the Premier League and enter the real world. It is not just about the poor kiddies there, but also the parents who go through such a lot themselves.”

So please support Tony in raising as much money as possible for the hospice and sponsor him today!
