Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. On 5th April 2007 we sadly discovered Gene (or Pete to his friends in Rugby) developed Pancreatic Cancer, sadly he died on Saturday 27th October 2007 at home with myself and his beloved daughter at his side.
We came to live in Ireland, on the Fermanagh/Donegal border in November 2003 with our daughter, Kate, now 18 years old. At that time we hoped to have many years in this beautifully scenic part of the world but now it seems our dreams were not to be.
We have made some marvellous friends here in Ireland but also remember our dear friends and family back in England.
This site has been set up in aid of the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK, so we can try and raise more awareness and help make a difference. It's easy to sponsor us in our fundraising, just click the button above and do your good deed for the day!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Pancreatic Cancer UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support, from Sandra and family

Last Saturday was a great success, it was lovely to see so many people showing their love for Pete. As you can see from our total above we raised over £1000 for PCUK and managed to reach our £4000 target. Not only have we managed to raise funds for PCUK, we have also raised awareness of the disease and had a really good night out, one which Pete would have thoroughly enjoyed.
Many many thanks to Paul and Gaynor O'Brien for organising the event, Marcia for putting us right with the food, the Ocho Rios band for keeping us entertained, everyone who donated items for the raffle and special thanks to all our friends who donated money, thank you.
Just need to say a Big Big thank you to all the 'widows on tour' from the Macmillan site, you have helped me make it through the last year, without all of you I wouldnt be sitting here today.
27th October 2008
It is a year ago today that Pete died, thinking of him and remembering the good days. Due to the fund raising for PCUK he will never be forgotten. A mass will be held at 10am today and he will be in my heart and in the hearts of his children Carl and kate, daughter in law hayley and grandchildren, Bridie, the mighty quin and baby charlie jane.
Please think of pete today
