Welcome to your new improved fundraising page. Find out what's changed and why.

What's new?

  1. The new header makes it much easier to see all the fundraising info at a glance. Plus, the page can now be shared to more social networks to encourage more people to give.
  2. The charity information is much more prominent, highlighting the cause you’re supporting.
  3. The new gallery makes it easier to see the images and video.
  4. Dedicated sections show the teams and companies you’re part of, emphasising the fundraising community you belong to.

What's coming?

The new design will also allow us to introduce some great features very soon to help you tell your fundraising story, like page updates, themes and a new page summary. Read all about these and other upcoming changes on our blog.

My story

Greetings!

Yes, I'm back in the UK!! But, even though I am now back here at home in dear old Blighty, I still need your help to continue our support for the great work the team are doing on the Phoenix Projects in Ecuador and beyond.

Now, though to the untrained eye I may appear somewhat unfit (actually, very unfit is probably more accurate!), I am game for a laugh when it comes to trying to raise money for the projects and so the opportunity for a wander around the delightful English countryside seemed a charming way to gather some funds.....apparently 60km will only take 12 or so hours of my life to complete, so that's a nice day out eh?!! Slightly concerned about the map reading aspect, but I'll cross that bridge when, or indeed if I come to it - with my famously poor orientation skills, I could well miss said bridge completely.

The destination for your generously donated funds remains the same - we put every penny towards improving the educational options for the children in the schools where we work - whether we help them to be able to afford to go to high school, or empower them by making them part of schemes like Plan Moo or Plan Cuy, or even just ensure that their primary schools have resources like pencils and books. Every donation makes a massive difference in the lives of the children. Please dig deep and donate to us online - we'll make good use of the funds!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Global Vision International Charitable Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

On behalf of the children - many thanks for your support.
