London to Paris - 9 - 12 September 2009 - I DID IT!

I cycled for 330 miles over 4 days, yes it was a challenge, however, it was the most fantastic experience. We cycled hard, climbed what seemed like endless hills but never took the smiles off our faces.  It was a pleasure to give something back to such a hard working, valuable cause. My thoughts and memories often found themselves in the BSB Paddock with characters past and present, whilst 'digging deep' to get up a few VERY sharp hills.

Whoever told us Northern France was flat, lied! Our stunning route took us from Croydon to Dover on Day 1 (94 miles), Calais to Arras, Day 2 (88 miles) Arras to Compiegne Day 3 (80 miles) and Compiegne to Paris Day 4 (74 miles). Riding into Paris, on mass, 130 cyclists holding up the whole of the cobbled Champs Elysees on a busy Saturday afternoon is a memory that will never fade. The first sight of the Eiffel Tower was a very emotional moment - BOY did we party HARD on Saturday night!

The Chris Jones Riders Fund works continually to raise much needed funds to supply additional medical equipment and services to the British Superbike Championship. The CJRF has already raised a great deal of money to provide services such as; a mobile X-Ray unit, A dedicated Team of physiotherapists, Ice Machine and funding for on-site Air Ambulances at events.
