Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Johnny Sinclair and I will be making the journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats in May on our vintage tractors to raise money for the charity, Leukaemia Research.
This trip is inspired by my father who died from Leukaemia and had a passion for vintage tractors, in particular Ferguson tractors of which he had built up a small working collection.
We will be unable to travel on Motorways with our vehicles so our route will take us about 970 miles. It is my aim to raise at least £10 for every mile hence my target of £9,700.
The picture opposite shows Johnny and I on the tractors we will be making our journey on; I have a vintage (1955) Grey Fergie T20 Diesel Tractor and Johnny has a vintage (1965) Massey Ferguson 135 Tractor
This tractor run is being done in aid of Leukaemia Research which seeks to improve treatments, find cures and prevent all forms of leukaemia and the related blood cancers both in children and in adults. They rely completely on voluntary donations to sustain their programme of research and strive to keep their running costs as low as possible.
Please help us, in whatever way you feel able.
On behalf of both Johnny, myself and the thousands of people who are touched every year by leukaemia or a related blood cancer, thank you for your interest in our work and for your kind support.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
My brother Gary has taken some photos that are free to use. These image can be found on http://www.garywilliamson.co.uk/charity
Leukaemia Research have a news item on us here: http://www.lrf.org.uk/en/1/fun02apr09.html
