My story
A Year of Fund Raising
The last time I ran a Just Giving page, I managed to raise about £400 for Transplants in Mind, which is great, as every little helps, but I couldn't help but feel that I'd have raised more if I was doing something other than saying 'Oi! This is a good cause! Give me money!'.
So, with that in mind I've decided to create a page and dub it my 'Year of Fund Raising'. Why? Well, I'm generally a very busy person, what with my snack pimping antics and full-time job, but I'd like to keep helping Transplants in Mind by seeing how much money I can rasie for them in what little spare time I have left.
What will this involve? Well, anything I can think of!
The first thing I'll be doing is running in the
Which is certainly a challenge for a person more accustomed to walking and sitting as opposed to activities like running and exercise. Pleeeease sponsor me for this! :)
Apart from that, I'll be selling little bits and bobs that I can find (or people can donate to me), and basically anything else I can think of.
I'll be charting my progress at my website at www.pimpthatsnack.com in the 'Fund Raising' section, so please keep an eye on that to see what I'm up to next!
In the meantime, please please please find your way to sponsoring me, even if its only £1.00, I'd be massively appreciative. Transplants in Mind are a comparitively small charity and operate in the tens of thousands of pounds rather than the other multi-million pound charities out there, but their work is no less important. The more money they can get their hands on, the more awareness-raising they can do.
If you don't want to donate but would like to help, please join the UK Transplant register online!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Transplants in Mind will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
