I DID IT! I completed my whacky Trans-Siberian Writing Challenge.
Not only did I write 100 A5 pages during an 18-day trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway, but I actually excelled myself by writing 120 pages in the alloted time, so quite a bit more than six pages a day!
Not only that, but I have the most amazing journey through China, Mongolia, Siberia and Russia and on May 1, 2009, I published my travel diary, which is now available for sale in aid of the hospice.
You can find out lots more about my charity writing challenge on my blog at http://transsibwriter.wordpress.com and please note that the total on this page is simply how much I have collected so far - there's lots more pledged!
Fundraising is still ongoing throughout 2009/10, so please donate now and help me to raise lots of money for the hospice, which has cared for several of my friends in the last stages of their lives!
(PS: For those of you who want to donate, but really don't understand this online malarky, it is possible to send a cheque by post. Simply make the cheque payable to the Earl Mountbatten Hospice and send it to: Trans-Siberian Writing Challenge, Fundraising Office, Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Halberry Lane, Newport, Isle Of Wight, UK. PO30 2ER).
Many, many thanks, Kate x
